Maine Insurance Agency: True North Adventureware – Partner of the Week!

As a part of our Partners Program, we will be highlighting a different local business each week!  This week’s Maine Insurance Agency Partner of the Week is True North Adventureware of Bethel, Maine.   True North Adventureware is an outdoor retailer that is ready to outfit you for every adventure, from hiking Katahdin, to skiing Sunday River, to lying around home and dreaming up your next big adventure. They have been outfitting Western Maine since 1988.

One customer says, “They have a big old black dog that usually greets customers. They have a good selection of sports gear, snow shoe rentals, great gloves, slippers, and boots!”

True North Adventureware also has a growing collection of products that are locally made.  Local includes all of New England, but more importantly the Bethel, Maine area.   One such company is WoolisWhy hats and scarves that are hand knit in Greenwood, Maine.  Many of the yarns come from local sheep or are locally dyed.  True North Adventureware also carries fleece socks and hats sewn by Susan Wight, Maple Leaf Red Dipping Sauce made in Newry, and Penpals and Picnic Napkins crafted here in Bethel.  They are proud to carry all of these excellent products by talented local entrepreneurs.
