New in 2016, Shawna Ramsay is the new face you will see at the front desk of W.J. Wheeler’s South Paris office. In addition to serving as receptionist, she will take on duties as Quality Manager. Given her military training and experience, Shawna will serve both positions well. When asked to describe herself, she provided the following:
“I was born and raised in South Paris, Maine. After I graduated from high school in 1998, I joined the United States Army Military Police where I obtained the rank of Sergeant. I was stationed at Ft. Polk, Louisiana where I served for five years and was honorably discharged. I then moved to Haverhill, Massachusetts and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. After earning this degree, I accepted a job with the Veterans Administration as a Federal Police Officer. Initially I worked for the VA in Providence, RI and then transferred to Manchester, NH.
“In 2011, I embarked on “my life’s biggest adventure” when my son, Mason, was born. Being a mom is definitely the best/hardest job I’ve ever had. After being with the VA for seven years I decided to move back to Maine to be closer to family and return to school. I have worked hard to obtain an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science. In May of 2016 I will graduate with my second Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. In my spare time, I love being with my son, taking adventures outside and rediscovering life through a child’s eyes. When the good weather hits I enjoy going to yard sales and spending time at the ocean.
